What exactly is microblading?
Microblading is one of the newest and biggest trends that has come out of the aesthetics industry. Microblading involves the application of cosmetic tattoo pigments to the eyebrow area in microstrokes. Micro strokes are applied in various techniques to give someone color, texture, or shape they desire. The appearance of someone’s eyebrows can drastically change the way someone looks; micro blading is the perfect technique to ensure the perfect brow.
Micro blading is synonymous with a series of names including micro shading, micro feathering, and eyebrow embroidery to list a few. This technique emerged as a way to remedy eyebrow insecurities both big and small. Micro blading can be used to fill in a few sparse areas or to create an entirely new shape. The client is in complete control of how much they want to see a change in their brow.
The process involves:
- Consultation: a consultation with the client to discuss what changes they would like to see in their brows.
- Application: Once the client is comfortable and confident the process discussed the aesthetician can begin the application
- Touch up: After a minimum of four weeks, the client should return for a touch-up. During these four weeks, the brows fully heal and then can be fine-tuned. Most artists charge an additional fee for this service but at Massage Works Fort Wayne it is completely FREE!
Mircoblading lasts between 1-3 years depending on the skins pigment retention. People with thin brows are the most common clients for a microblading procedure, but this service is appropriate for a wide range of people. The micro pigments come in a variety of colors, therefore, anyone can find the perfect shade to match their brows.
