Accessibility

Welcoming to everyone.

Our commitment to making our website and our two Fort Wayne locations usable for clients with a wide range of needs — and how to reach us if anything stands in your way.

Last updated June 1, 2026

We want every visit to feel calm and easy, on the website and in person. This page describes the standards we follow, what we have already done, where we know we have work to do, and how to ask for help or report a barrier.

1.Our commitment

Massage Works Therapy & Spa is committed to providing a welcoming experience for everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing practice, not a one-time project. We work to make our website usable with assistive technologies and our two Fort Wayne locations physically welcoming for clients with a range of mobility, sensory, and cognitive needs.

If anything on our website or at our locations gets in your way, we want to hear from you. Contact us at office@MassageWorksFW.com or (260) 459-1111 and we will help.

2.Standards we follow

We aim to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG defines requirements that make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities, and easier to use for everyone.

Conformance with WCAG is an ongoing effort. We test as we ship new pages and revisit older pages over time. Some content may not yet fully meet every Level AA criterion, particularly third-party tools embedded in our site. Where that is the case, we are happy to provide the same information in another format on request.

3.What we have done on the website

Steps we take to keep the site accessible include:

• semantic HTML structure with clear headings, lists, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page;
• visible focus styles and full keyboard navigation through menus, forms, and dialogs;
• descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and decorative-only treatment for the rest;
• sufficient color contrast between text and its background;
• form fields with visible labels, helpful error messages, and inputs that work with browser autofill and password managers;
• a responsive layout that reflows at different screen sizes and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content;
• motion-reduction respect via the user's system preference when animations are present;
• plain-language copy where possible, with technical terms explained.

4.What we have done at our locations

Both Fort Wayne locations are on the ground level with step-free entrances. Specific features include:

Parking — accessible parking spaces near the entrance at each location, with free on-site parking.

Entry and circulation — wide doorways and corridors, level thresholds at our entries, and seating in the reception area.

Restrooms — accessible restroom facilities are available on site.

Tables and treatment rooms — height-adjustable massage tables, bolsters and props in a range of sizes, and quiet, low-stimulation rooms for clients sensitive to noise, lighting, or scent.

Service animals — service animals are welcome in our spaces in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

If a feature you need is not listed, please call ahead. We will tell you exactly what to expect and adjust where we can.

5.Requesting accommodations

We are glad to make reasonable accommodations for clients with disabilities. Contact us in advance and we can:

• help with table transfers, positioning, and bolster setup;
• adjust room lighting, music, and aromatherapy use for sensory sensitivities;
• allow extra time before and after a session for changing or transfers;
• read intake forms aloud or accept verbal answers;
• coordinate with a caregiver, ASL interpreter, or support person you bring with you;
• provide written information from this website in a different format.

To request an accommodation, email office@MassageWorksFW.com or call (260) 459-1111. There is no extra charge to make a reasonable accommodation.

6.Third-party tools and content

Some parts of our website rely on services provided by third parties, including our online booking platform (Secure-Booker), embedded maps, and font and analytics providers. We do not control the underlying code of those services. If you encounter an accessibility issue inside one of those embedded tools, please tell us. In the meantime, we are happy to complete the same task for you over the phone — including booking appointments, checking gift card balances, and answering membership questions.

7.Known limitations

We are honest about where we are still working. Known limitations we are tracking include:

• some embedded third-party widgets (booking, maps) may not fully match Level AA criteria for keyboard or screen-reader use;
• older blog images may have generic alternative text that we are revising;
• PDF documents shared occasionally for events may not yet be fully tagged for assistive technologies.

If you run into any of these and need help, contact us and we will provide the information another way.

8.Reporting a barrier

If you have trouble using our website or visiting our locations, we want to know. Please include:

• the page URL or location you were using;
• a brief description of the issue;
• the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if relevant;
• how we can reach you.

Send reports to office@MassageWorksFW.com with the subject line "Accessibility" or call (260) 459-1111. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and provide a meaningful response or fix as quickly as we can.

9.Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility issue, you may file a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division at civilrights.justice.gov, or with the Indiana Civil Rights Commission. We are happy to provide our response history if it helps you with that process.

10.Updates to this statement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and this statement will be updated as we make improvements to our website and locations. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects when the current version became effective.
