Skin Care / Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning

Smooth skin, vellus hair gone, makeup that lays right.

Dermaplaning is a precise, painless treatment that uses a sterile blade to remove dead surface skin and the soft vellus hair (peach fuzz) on your face. The result is noticeably smoother texture, brighter skin, and makeup that sits more evenly. It pairs beautifully with a facial — many clients add it on as an enhancement to a brightening or anti-aging treatment.

Why book this

What you can expect to feel

Instantly smoother

Physical exfoliation lifts dead skin in a way enzyme treatments cannot match.

No more peach fuzz

The fine vellus hair on your face is gone. Most clients are surprised by how much it changes their skin.

Better product absorption

Without the dead-skin layer in the way, your serums and moisturizers go where they need to go.

Flawless makeup base

Foundation and concealer lay perfectly flat on dermaplaned skin.

During

What to expect

You lie back on the table. Your esthetician cleanses your skin and uses gentle, short strokes with a sterile blade across the face. There is no pain — most clients describe it as oddly relaxing. Finished with a calming serum and moisturizer with SPF.
After

Aftercare

Skip exfoliating products for 3 days afterward. Wear SPF the next day, no exceptions — your fresh skin is more sun-sensitive. Avoid heavy makeup that day if you can. Most clients see results immediately and book again every 4 to 6 weeks.

FAQ

Common questions

Will my hair grow back darker?
No — vellus hair grows back the same softness and color it always was. The "thicker hair" myth is just that, a myth.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Most skin types yes, with a few exceptions — active acne, certain skin conditions, or recent harsh exfoliation can mean we wait. Your esthetician will assess at your appointment.
How often should I come?
Every 4 to 6 weeks matches your skin's natural turnover. Not more often than that — you do not want to overdo physical exfoliation.
Can I add it to a facial?
Yes — and many clients do. Dermaplaning paired with a brightening or anti-aging facial is a popular combo for peak results.
