Prenatal Massage

Comfort and care through pregnancy.

Pregnancy is hard work. Prenatal massage uses side-lying positioning, careful bolstering, and pressure tuned for pregnancy to ease the everyday aches that come with carrying a baby. It is one of our most-booked services, and one of the most genuinely useful — pain relief options are limited during pregnancy, and a skilled prenatal massage delivers real comfort without medication.

During

What to expect

You will be positioned on your side with bolsters supporting your belly, hip, and the leg on top. The therapist works around what is comfortable — many clients spend most of the session on their side, with optional time face-up using extra propping. Pressure is moderate and adjusted to what feels right that day.
After

Aftercare

Hydrate well. Light walking helps keep fluid moving. Some clients feel mildly tender in worked areas — that is normal. Tell your provider you are receiving regular massage; most are encouraging, especially as your due date approaches.

FAQ

Common questions

When can I start prenatal massage?
Most providers recommend starting after the first trimester (roughly week 13). If you are in the first trimester or have a high-risk pregnancy, please talk to your OB first and bring written clearance to your appointment.
Is it safe right up until delivery?
Yes for most pregnancies. Many clients book regular sessions through their third trimester. Some research even suggests labor goes more smoothly for clients who receive regular prenatal massage.
What about postpartum?
Postpartum massage is wonderful, including post-surgical lymphatic drainage after a C-section. We typically wait for your six-week clearance from your provider, though some return sooner with their OB's blessing.
Are your therapists certified?
Yes — every therapist offering prenatal at our locations is trained in pregnancy massage, including positioning, contraindications, and the specific changes pregnancy brings to the body.
Is it HSA or FSA eligible?
Often yes with a Letter of Medical Necessity from your OB or provider. Pregnancy-related back pain and pregnancy support are commonly approved uses.
