Swedish (Relaxation) Massage

Long, flowing strokes that calm the whole system.

Swedish massage — sometimes called relaxation massage — uses long, flowing strokes that quiet the mind and support the circulatory and immune systems. It is the classic massage most people picture, and it works because regular practice helps you sleep better, lowers daily stress, and gives your body a reset it does not get anywhere else.

During

What to expect

You stay professionally draped at all times — only the area being worked on is uncovered. The pace is slower than therapeutic work, the pressure is even, and the room is quiet. Music, lighting, and aromatherapy are all adjustable. You can talk or stay quiet.
After

Aftercare

Drink water through the rest of the day. Skip the gym if you can — tomorrow is a great day to move. The benefits of regular Swedish massage compound, so consider booking a cadence (monthly is the most common).

FAQ

Common questions

How is it different from deep tissue?
Swedish uses lighter, flowing pressure to relax the whole body. Deep tissue uses slower, more focused pressure to address chronic tension. Most clients pick based on what they need that day.
Will I fall asleep?
Plenty of clients do. It is a sign your nervous system is letting go — exactly the point. Snore away.
How often should I book?
Monthly is the most common cadence for general wellness. Twice a month if you are working through chronic stress or a specific issue. We have a membership for both.
Can I add hot stones or aromatherapy?
Yes — both pair beautifully with a Swedish massage. Hot stones are $15 and aromatherapy is $15 as add-ons.
